Abstract
Empowering the community economy is an important strategy in overcoming poverty and improving welfare. Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency, in 2020, around 9.2% of Indonesia's population lived below the poverty line, so the government prioritizes economic empowerment at the local level. This study focuses on Tambakboyo Village, Ambarawa District, Semarang Regency, which faces challenges in improving its economic welfare. Through the implementation of a community service program themed on aromatherapy candle making training and eco-print tote bags, it is hoped that it can improve skills and create sustainable local business opportunities based on environmentally friendly products. This training program was attended by 25 participants from PKK mothers in Tambakboyo Village, Ambarawa District, Semarang Regency. The methods used include training and mentoring in three stages, namely: (1) Preparation; (2) Implementation; (3) Evaluation and Reporting. The results of the training showed the enthusiasm of the participants in producing and utilizing used cooking oil waste and environmentally friendly materials for products with economic value. This activity not only improves skills but also provides new business opportunities for the local community.
