Abstract

With the rapid growth of the halal industry, people must work harder to produce good and halal food. This must be done so that the food consumed by the community is not dangerous and has halal ingredients so that it is safe to eat. The process of obtaining a halal label from an authorized institution is known as halal certification. There are several small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Penggaron Kidul Village that do not yet have halal certification, which prompted this research. The halal certification process, supporting factors, and inhibiting factors are the main topics of this study. halal certification in Penggaron Kidul. The focus of this study is evaluating the use of halal certification by small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Penggaron Kidul Village, identifying supporting and inhibiting elements, and studying the function of BPJPH. The research method used is Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) or Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) which is a refinement of the development approach method, which is actually based on comprehensive community involvement starting from initial studies, planning, implementation, supervision and evaluation.
