Abstract
Environmental issues are often complex problems that are often difficult to handle. Disputes over economic, political, social and cultural interests are things that greatly affect environmental problems. Through community service activities with the PAR (Participatory Action Research) method, it aims to instill awareness and responsibility for environmental conservation and develop skills to protect and preserve nature. The use of questionnaires is then supported by the implementation of interviews, observations at SMPN 1 Losarang and documentation as a complement to the research instrument. The conclusion obtained is the lack of monitoring and participation from the local government, especially related agencies, in integrating, instilling and providing environmental-based learning to students at SMPN 1 Losarang. This is based on the lack of coordination between the Education Office and the Environmental Office in coordinating and supervising environmental-based education or teaching and the lack of integration of the curriculum that discusses environmental issues.
