Journal Scope and Ethical Standards: Articles published in Multigen: Multidisciplinary Indigenous Knowledge are pivotal in establishing a reputable and interconnected knowledge network across various disciplines. These publications reflect the quality and integrity of the authors and their institutions. Therefore, it is essential to uphold a high standard of ethical conduct for all participants in the publishing process, including authors, editors, reviewers, publishers, and the general public. The Editor of the Multigen: Multidisciplinary Indigenous Knowledge is committed to ensuring a fair and rigorous evaluation of all submissions. Editors and reviewers evaluate manuscripts impartially, without bias towards the authors' race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnicity, nationality, or political affiliations. Plagiarism detection tools are employed to ensure the integrity of the articles.

Author Responsibilities:

  • Authors must ensure their submissions are original and free from plagiarism.
  • Previously published works in other journals cannot be reproduced.
  • Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously is prohibited.
  • Publication in another journal is only permissible after rejection or withdrawal acceptance by the current journal.
  • Authors must promptly report any significant errors in their published work to the Editor-in-Chief or publisher for correction or retraction.
  • Authors must contribute significantly to their work and accept responsibility for any shortcomings.

Reviewer Responsibilities:

  • Reviewers should confirm their area of expertise before accepting a review assignment.
  • Reviewers should decline to review if they have conflicts of interest or insufficient knowledge of the subject.
  • Reviews should be conducted objectively, fairly, and professionally.
  • Ethical issues encountered during the review process should be reported to the Editor-in-Chief.
  • Reviewers should ensure the authenticity of the submissions and be vigilant against plagiarism and redundant publication.
  • Confidentiality of the review process must be maintained, and discussions without permission are prohibited.
  • Reviews should be completed within the allocated time frame, with extension requests subject to the Editor-in-Chief's discretion.

Editorial Board Member Responsibilities:

  • Contribute actively to the journal's development and excellence.
  • Act as ambassadors for the journal.
  • Support and promote the journal.
  • Participate in the review of assigned manuscripts.

Editor-in-Chief Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate manuscripts based on intellectual merit alone.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of the manuscripts, sharing information only with those involved in the publication process.
  • Decide on the timing and selection of articles for publication.
  • Seek input from board members, reviewers, and authors to enhance the journal's quality and visibility.
  • Provide clear guidelines to contributors on the submission process and expectations.
  • Ensure the selection of suitable reviewers.
