Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain copyright to their work while granting Multigen: Multidisciplinary Indigenous Knowledge the right of first publication under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY-SA 4.0). This allows others to:

- Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format for any purpose, including commercial uses.
Adapt:
- Remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially, provided that the original authors and the initial publication in Multigen: Multidisciplinary Indigenous Knowledge are credited.
Authors can also enter additional agreements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of their work. This includes posting it to institutional repositories or using it in books, with proper acknowledgment of its initial publication in Multigen: Multidisciplinary Indigenous Knowledge.
Moreover, authors are encouraged to share their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on personal websites) both before and during the submission process. This practice promotes productive exchanges and can lead to earlier and increased citation of the published work, as emphasized in "The Effect of Open Access."
