Reviewer Guidelines

Thank you for agreeing to review for InnovaPed: Journal of Innovative Pedagogies in Elementary Education. Please follow the guidelines below when assessing the manuscript. Your feedback should be constructive and aimed at helping the authors improve their work.

1. Presentation

  • Clarity and Organization: Is the manuscript well-organized and clearly presented? Does it follow a logical flow of ideas?
  • Formatting: Does the manuscript follow the journal’s guidelines for formatting and style?
  • Figures and Tables: Are figures, tables, and other illustrations appropriately used? Do they support the text and enhance understanding?

2. Writing

  • Clarity: Is the writing clear, concise, and free of jargon? Is the language appropriate for an academic audience?
  • Grammar and Style: Are there any grammatical errors, awkward phrasing, or inconsistencies in style?
  • Tone: Does the manuscript maintain an academic and objective tone?

3. Length

  • Appropriateness: Is the length of the manuscript appropriate for the topic? Does the paper cover the subject matter adequately without being overly long or too brief?
  • Conciseness: Are there any sections that are unnecessarily long or repetitive and could be shortened?

4. Title

  • Relevance: Does the title accurately reflect the content and main findings of the manuscript?
  • Clarity: Is the title concise and informative?

5. Abstract

  • Content: Does the abstract provide a clear summary of the paper’s objectives, methodology, key findings, and implications?
  • Clarity: Is the abstract well-written and accessible to a broad audience?

6. Introduction

  • Context and Relevance: Does the introduction provide sufficient background and context for the study? Is the problem or gap in knowledge clearly identified?
  • Purpose and Objectives: Are the research questions or objectives clearly stated?
  • Justification: Is the significance of the study explained convincingly?

7. Method

  • Appropriateness: Are the research methods and design appropriate for the research questions?
  • Clarity and Detail: Is the methodology described in sufficient detail to allow replication?
  • Ethics: If applicable, are ethical considerations addressed appropriately?

8. Results

  • Presentation: Are the results presented clearly and logically? Are appropriate figures, tables, and/or graphs used to support the data?
  • Relevance: Do the results answer the research questions posed in the introduction?
  • Clarity: Are the results free from interpretation or discussion, focusing solely on the findings?

9. Discussion

  • Interpretation: Does the discussion interpret the results appropriately and in the context of the existing literature?
  • Significance: Are the implications of the findings discussed in a meaningful way? Do they contribute to the field of elementary education?
  • Limitations: Are the limitations of the study acknowledged and discussed appropriately?

10. Conclusion

  • Summary: Does the conclusion effectively summarize the main findings of the research?
  • Implications: Are the practical and theoretical implications of the study stated clearly?
  • Future Research: Are suggestions for future research provided, and do they logically follow from the study?
