Ethical Clearance
InnovaPed: Journal of Innovative Pedagogies in Elementary Education requires that all research involving human participants complies with ethical standards. Authors must obtain appropriate ethical clearance from relevant institutional review boards (IRBs) or ethics committees before conducting their research.
When submitting manuscripts, authors are required to include a statement regarding the ethical clearance of their research. This statement should detail the following:
-
Ethical Approval: Authors must specify whether their study received ethical approval and from which institution or ethics committee. If ethical approval was not required, authors should provide a justification.
-
Informed Consent: Authors must confirm that informed consent was obtained from all participants involved in the study. This includes providing information about the purpose of the research, potential risks, and the right to withdraw from the study at any time without any negative consequences.
-
Confidentiality: Authors should describe the measures taken to ensure the confidentiality and anonymity of participants, particularly in cases where sensitive information is collected.
-
Vulnerable Populations: If the research involves vulnerable populations (e.g., children, individuals with disabilities), authors must outline additional safeguards that were implemented to protect these participants.
Failure to comply with these ethical requirements may result in the rejection of the manuscript or retraction of the published article if ethical concerns arise post-publication.
InnovaPed is dedicated to upholding ethical standards in research and publication and encourages authors to conduct their work with integrity and respect for all participants involved.
