Allegation of Research Misconducts
InnovaPed: Journal of Innovative Pedagogies in Elementary Education takes allegations of research misconduct very seriously. We are committed to maintaining the integrity of the research published in our journal and ensuring a fair and thorough investigation of any reported misconduct.
The handling of allegations of research misconduct aligns with the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), which can be accessed at COPE Misconduct Guidelines.
In the event that an allegation of research misconduct is raised, the following process will be followed:
-
Initial Assessment: The Editor-in-Chief will conduct a preliminary assessment of the allegation to determine its validity and seriousness. This assessment may involve consulting with members of the editorial board or experts in the field.
-
Investigation: If the initial assessment indicates that the allegation has merit, a formal investigation will be initiated. The authors involved will be contacted for their responses and any relevant documentation will be reviewed.
-
Collaboration with Institutions: The journal may collaborate with the authors' institutions to investigate the misconduct thoroughly, especially if the alleged misconduct involves data fabrication or ethical violations related to human subjects.
-
Outcome: Following the investigation, the Editor-in-Chief will make a decision based on the findings. If the allegation is substantiated, appropriate actions will be taken, which may include retraction of the manuscript or published article.
The retraction process adheres to the Retraction Guidelines outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), available at COPE Retraction Guidelines. This ensures transparency and accountability in the publication process.
InnovaPed is committed to fostering a responsible research environment and will take all necessary steps to address and rectify any instances of misconduct.
