Ethical Clearance

Research submitted to VIRAL: Veritas International Research in Applied Linguistics involving human participants, interviews, surveys, classroom observations, experiments, or any form of data collection related to individuals must comply with ethical research standards and institutional regulations. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their research has obtained appropriate ethical approval from a recognized ethics committee or institutional review board (IRB), when required.

Authors should clearly state in the manuscript that informed consent has been obtained from participants and that the research was conducted in accordance with applicable ethical guidelines. The privacy, confidentiality, and rights of all participants must be protected throughout the research and publication process.

For studies involving minors or vulnerable groups, authors must provide evidence that consent was obtained from parents, guardians, or authorized representatives where applicable. The editorial team reserves the right to request additional ethical documents, approval letters, or consent forms during the review process.

Manuscripts that fail to meet ethical research standards may be rejected or withdrawn from the publication process.
