Screening for Plagiarism

Manuscripts submitted to Mapande: Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan undergo a thorough review process using Turnitin software, with a maximum allowable similarity threshold set at 20%.

Plagiarism can take several forms:

  • Direct Plagiarism: This involves taking text from another author word-for-word without using quotation marks or providing proper citation.
  • Source Plagiarism: This happens when someone uses another person’s ideas or theories without giving appropriate credit.
  • Authorship Plagiarism: This is when someone presents another author's work as their own without proper acknowledgment.
  • Self-Plagiarism: Authors must avoid submitting the same article to multiple journals without significant changes. Any reference to previous work should include substantial modifications, and new submissions should offer new perspectives with minimal content overlap with earlier works.

Following these guidelines is essential to uphold the research’s authenticity and originality in our journal.
