Copyright and Licensing
Authors maintain copyright ownership of their work while granting Mapande: Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan the exclusive right to publish it first under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY-SA 4.0). This license allows others to share, copy, and redistribute the material in any form or medium for any purpose, including commercial uses. It also permits modifications, remixing, and the creation of derivative works, as long as the original authors and the first publication in Mapande are acknowledged.
Authors can also enter into additional non-exclusive distribution agreements for their published work, such as archiving it in institutional repositories or incorporating it into books, provided that Mapande's initial publication is properly cited. Moreover, authors are encouraged to make their work available online, including in institutional repositories or on personal websites, both prior to and during the submission process. This approach promotes valuable exchanges and can result in earlier and more frequent citations of the work, as discussed in "The Effect of Open Access."
