Ethical Guidelines for the Community Research and Application Journal (CRAJ)

The Konsorsium Pengetahuan Innoscientia has developed this ethical framework for the Community Research and Application Journal (CRAJ) in line with the principles set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). This guideline outlines the ethical responsibilities of the Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Board members, reviewers, and authors to maintain the integrity and quality of the publication process.

The articles published in CRAJ are crucial for establishing a respected and comprehensive knowledge base across various fields, including community services in Community Development, Public Health, Environmental Sustainability, Technological Applications, Policy and Implementation, and Chemical Innovations that benefit communities. These articles reflect the quality and reputation of the authors and their institutions. Adherence to high ethical standards is essential for all participants in the publishing process: authors, editors, reviewers, publishers, and the public. The Editor of CRAJ is dedicated to ensuring an unbiased and intellectually rigorous review process. Manuscripts are assessed impartially, without discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnicity, nationality, or political views. Plagiarism detection tools are utilized to guarantee the originality of the published content.

Responsibilities of Authors:

  • Authors must submit original work that is free from plagiarism.
  • Reproduction of previously published work is not allowed.
  • Simultaneous submission to multiple journals is prohibited.
  • Publication in another journal is allowed only after official rejection or withdrawal from CRAJ.
  • Authors should promptly report any errors in their published work to the Editor-in-Chief or publisher for correction or retraction.
  • Authors must have significantly contributed to their work and must take responsibility for any issues.

Responsibilities of Reviewers:

  • Reviewers should assess their ability to review a manuscript before accepting the task.
  • Reviewers may decline to review due to conflicts of interest or lack of expertise.
  • Reviews must be objective, fair, and professional.
  • Any ethical concerns identified during the review process should be reported to the Editor-in-Chief.
  • Reviewers must ensure the authenticity of submissions and remain vigilant against plagiarism and redundant publication.
  • Confidentiality must be maintained, and discussions about the content without permission are prohibited.
  • Reviewers should adhere to review deadlines, with extensions granted at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief.

Responsibilities of Editorial Board Members:

  • Actively contribute to the journal’s development and excellence.
  • Serve as ambassadors for the journal.
  • Support and promote the journal.
  • Participate in the review process for assigned manuscripts.

Responsibilities of the Editor-in-Chief:

  • Evaluate manuscripts based on intellectual merit without bias.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts, sharing information only with those involved in the publication process.
  • Decide on the timing and selection of articles for publication.
  • Seek feedback from board members, reviewers, and authors to enhance the journal’s image and visibility.
  • Provide clear guidelines to contributors on the submission process and expectations.
  • Ensure appropriate reviewers are selected.
