Screening for Plagiarism
Manuscripts submitted to BioSatu: Journal of Biological Science and Biology Education are rigorously reviewed using Turnitin software, with a maximum allowed similarity rate of 20%.
Plagiarism encompasses several forms:
- Direct Plagiarism: This involves copying another author's text verbatim without using quotation marks or providing proper citation.
- Source Plagiarism: This occurs when someone uses another person's ideas or concepts without appropriate credit or citation.
- Authorship Plagiarism: This involves presenting another author's work as one's own without proper attribution.
- Self-Plagiarism: Authors should avoid submitting identical articles to multiple journals without significant revisions. When referencing previous work, substantial changes must be made, and new articles should present fresh insights, with minimal overlap from earlier publications.
Adhering to these standards is crucial for maintaining the integrity and originality of the research published in our journal.
