Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain the copyright to their work while granting BioSatu: Journal of Biological Science and Biology Education the right of first publication under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY-SA 4.0). This license permits others to share, copy, and redistribute the material in any medium or format for any purpose, including commercial uses. Additionally, it allows for the adaptation, remixing, transformation, and building upon the material for any purpose, including commercial, as long as the original authors and the initial publication in BioSatu: Journal of Biological Science and Biology Education are credited.
Authors are also free to enter into additional non-exclusive distribution agreements for their work's published version, such as posting it in institutional repositories or using it in books, with appropriate acknowledgment of its initial publication in BioSatu. Furthermore, authors are encouraged to share their work online, such as in institutional repositories or on personal websites, both before and during the submission process. This practice fosters productive exchanges and can lead to earlier and increased citation of the published work, as highlighted in "The Effect of Open Access."
