Publication Ethics
Society: Journal of Community and Service is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures to ensure that the journal’s activities are conducted in a fair and ethical manner. The journal is published by Konsorsium Pengetahuan Innoscientia and adheres to the following ethical guidelines:
Author Responsibilities
- Originality: Authors must ensure that their work is original and has not been published elsewhere. Any work that includes previously published material must be properly cited.
- Authorship: All individuals who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research should be listed as authors. Corresponding authors must ensure that all co-authors approve the final version of the manuscript.
- Disclosure: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and acknowledge all sources of financial support for the research.
- Ethical Compliance: Authors must ensure compliance with ethical standards concerning research involving human or animal subjects, including obtaining necessary approvals.
Reviewer Responsibilities
- Confidentiality: Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of the manuscripts they review and not disclose any information about them to others.
- Impartiality: Reviews should be conducted objectively, and personal biases must be set aside.
- Constructive Feedback: Reviewers are encouraged to provide constructive feedback to assist authors in improving their manuscripts.
- Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest related to the manuscript.
Editorial Board Member Responsibilities
- Integrity: Editorial board members must act with integrity and uphold the ethical standards of the journal.
- Decision Making: Board members are responsible for making publication decisions based on the merit of the manuscripts, ensuring that these decisions are not influenced by personal biases.
- Guidance: Editorial board members should provide guidance to the editorial team and help in formulating policies that promote ethical practices in publication.
- Transparency: They must ensure transparency in the editorial process and address any concerns raised by authors, reviewers, or readers.
Editor-in-Chief Responsibilities
- Leadership: The Editor-in-Chief provides leadership in all editorial matters and ensures the journal’s adherence to ethical standards.
- Decision Authority: The Editor-in-Chief holds the final decision-making authority on manuscript acceptance or rejection, based on the reviews received.
- Transparency and Accountability: The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for maintaining transparency in the editorial process and addressing any ethical issues that arise during the publication process.
- Continuous Improvement: The Editor-in-Chief promotes continuous improvement of the journal’s policies and practices to uphold the highest standards of research integrity.
