Reviewer Guidelines

Reviewer Requirements:

  • Possess a Master's or Doctoral degree.
  • Prior experience reviewing for scientific journals is highly preferred.
  • Must have authored articles in internationally cited journals.

Review Criteria:

Presentation:

  • Does the manuscript present a well-structured and persuasive argument?
  • Are the ideas expressed clearly and succinctly?

Writing:

  • Does the title accurately reflect the content of the manuscript?
  • Is the writing style clear and comprehensible?

Length:

  • Which sections of the manuscript need expansion, reduction, summarization, or merging?

Title:

  • Does the title accurately and engagingly represent the manuscript’s content?

Abstract:

  • Does the abstract include key elements such as research background, objectives, methods, findings, and contributions/implications?

Introduction:

  • Does the background identify a research gap?
  • Does the literature review include relevant theories?
  • Is the originality of the work highlighted?
  • Are the study’s objectives and hypothesis development clearly articulated, if applicable?

Method:

  • Are all research procedures comprehensively described?
  • Are the study variables, subjects, and instruments clearly identified?
  • Are data analysis techniques thoroughly explained?
  • Is there enough detail for other researchers to replicate the study?

Results:

  • Are tables and figures used effectively to present processed data?
  • Do the results address the research questions and/or hypotheses?

Discussion:

  • Are the results analyzed in the context of existing literature?
  • Are the implications of the research discussed?
  • Are the study's strengths and limitations acknowledged?

Conclusion:

  • Are the main conclusions succinctly summarized?
  • Are findings presented as a synthesis of results and discussions?
  • Are new findings that contribute to the advancement of social innovation and community development highlighted?
