Screening for Plagiarism
Manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Holistic Medical Technologies (JHMT) are carefully reviewed using Turnitin software, which permits up to 20% similarity.
Types of plagiarism include:
-
Direct Plagiarism:
- Copying another author's text exactly without using quotation marks or proper citation.
-
Source Plagiarism:
- Using someone else's ideas or concepts without giving proper credit or citing the original source.
-
Authorship Plagiarism:
- Presenting someone else's work as if it were your own, without proper acknowledgment.
-
Self-Plagiarism:
- Authors should avoid resubmitting the same manuscript to different journals without significant updates. When referencing their own previous work, authors must introduce substantial revisions in the new submission. The new manuscript should only include a small portion of content from the earlier one, ensuring it provides fresh insights and is not merely a repetition of past work.
Following these guidelines is essential to uphold the integrity and originality of the research published in our journal.
