Ethics Statement for the Journal of Holistic Medical Technologies (JHMT)

This ethical guideline for the Journal of Holistic Medical Technologies (JHMT), established by the Konsorsium Pengetahuan Innoscientia, is based on the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). It defines the ethical responsibilities for the Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Board members, reviewers, and authors, ensuring the integrity and quality of the publication process.

Articles published in the Journal of Holistic Medical Technologies (JHMT) are pivotal in building a respected and coherent knowledge base across various fields including medical physics, imaging technologies, electronics, herbal chemistry, neuroscience, and theoretical physics. They reflect the quality and reputation of the authors and their institutions. It is crucial to uphold and follow a rigorous ethical standard for all participants in the publishing process: authors, editors, reviewers, publishers, and the public. The Editor of JHMT is committed to fostering an unbiased and intellectually rigorous review process. Manuscripts are evaluated without prejudice based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnicity, nationality, or political views. Plagiarism detection tools are used to ensure the originality of published articles.

Author Responsibilities:

  • Authors must submit original work, free from plagiarism.
  • Reproducing previously published works is prohibited.
  • Simultaneous submission to multiple journals is not allowed.
  • Publication in another journal is permissible only after official rejection or withdrawal approval from JHMT.
  • Authors should promptly report any errors in their published work to the Editor-in-Chief or publisher for correction or retraction.
  • Authors must significantly contribute to their work and accept responsibility for any issues.

Reviewer Responsibilities:

  • Reviewers should assess their suitability to review a manuscript before accepting.
  • It is acceptable to decline reviews due to conflicts of interest or insufficient expertise.
  • Reviews must be objective, fair, and professional.
  • Ethical concerns identified during the review process should be reported to the Editor-in-Chief.
  • Reviewers must ensure the authenticity of submissions and be vigilant against plagiarism and redundant publication.
  • Confidentiality must be maintained, and discussions about the content without permission are prohibited.
  • Reviewers should adhere to review deadlines, with extensions granted at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief.

Editorial Board Member Responsibilities:

  • Contribute actively to the journal’s development and excellence.
  • Act as ambassadors for the journal.
  • Support and promote the journal.
  • Participate in the review process for assigned manuscripts.

Editor-in-Chief Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate manuscripts based on intellectual merit without bias.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts, sharing information only with those involved in the publication process.
  • Decide on the publication timing and selection of articles.
  • Seek feedback from board members, reviewers, and authors to enhance the journal’s image and visibility.
  • Provide clear guidelines to contributors on the submission process and expectations.
  • Ensure appropriate reviewers are selected.
