Peer Review Process

The peer review process for Jurnal Lingkungan ensures that all submitted manuscripts meet the highest standards of academic quality and relevance. The process is as follows:

  1. Submission
    Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal's online submission system. Submissions must comply with the journal's formatting and ethical guidelines.

  2. Initial Screening
    The editorial team reviews the manuscript for basic compliance with the journal's focus, scope, and formatting requirements. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria are rejected or returned to the authors for revision.

  3. Plagiarism Check
    Each manuscript is checked using plagiarism detection software to ensure originality and adherence to ethical publishing standards.

  4. Assignment to Reviewers
    Manuscripts passing the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. The review process follows a double-blind approach, where both the authors and reviewers remain anonymous.

  5. Review Process
    Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on the following criteria:

    • Relevance to the journal's focus and scope.
    • Originality and contribution to the field.
    • Methodological soundness and rigor.
    • Clarity of presentation and quality of writing.
    • Accuracy and validity of data and conclusions.

    Reviewers provide detailed comments and recommendations, which may include:

    • Reject.
  6. Editorial Decision
    The editorial team reviews the feedback from the reviewers and makes a final decision. Authors are notified of the decision, along with the reviewers' comments and any required revisions.

  7. Revisions and Resubmission
    Authors address the reviewers' comments and submit the revised manuscript within the specified timeframe. Revised manuscripts may undergo further review if necessary.

  8. Final Decision
    Once the manuscript meets all requirements, the editorial team gives final approval for publication.

  9. Publication
    Accepted manuscripts are copyedited, formatted, and published in the upcoming issue of the journal, both in print and online.
