Publication Ethics
Bakti: Journal of Public Service and Collaboration, published by Konsorsium Pengetahuan Innoscientia, is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity. This includes clear guidelines for authors, reviewers, editorial board members, and the editor-in-chief.
Author Responsibilities
- Originality: Authors must ensure that their work is original and has not been published elsewhere. Proper citation of the work and ideas of others is mandatory.
- Authorship: All individuals who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research should be listed as co-authors. Any contributors not meeting these criteria should be acknowledged.
- Disclosure: Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence their work. This includes funding sources and potential conflicts of interest.
- Ethical Compliance: Authors should comply with ethical standards related to human and animal rights, ensuring that their research adheres to relevant guidelines and regulations.
- Data Integrity: Authors must ensure the accuracy of data presented in their work and should be prepared to provide access to the underlying data upon request.
Reviewer Responsibilities
- Confidentiality: Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of the manuscripts they review and not discuss them with others.
- Objective Assessment: Reviews should be conducted objectively, without personal bias. Reviewers should base their comments and recommendations on evidence and provide constructive feedback.
- Conflict of Interest: Reviewers should disclose any conflicts of interest that could affect their impartiality and recuse themselves from the review process if necessary.
- Timeliness: Reviewers are expected to complete their evaluations in a timely manner to facilitate the publication process.
Editorial Board Member Responsibilities
- Guidance: Editorial board members should provide guidance and support to the editorial team and contribute to the journal’s strategic direction.
- Integrity: Members are expected to uphold the integrity and reputation of the journal by ensuring high ethical standards in the review and publication processes.
- Engagement: Editorial board members should actively participate in discussions and decisions regarding editorial policies, scope, and overall journal quality.
Editor-in-Chief Responsibilities
- Leadership: The editor-in-chief is responsible for the overall editorial direction of the journal and for ensuring that it publishes high-quality research.
- Decision-Making: The editor-in-chief makes final decisions on manuscript acceptance or rejection based on the recommendations of reviewers and the editorial board.
- Ethical Oversight: The editor-in-chief ensures adherence to ethical standards in publication and investigates any allegations of misconduct or unethical behavior.
- Transparency: The editor-in-chief promotes transparency in the review process and ensures that all stakeholders (authors, reviewers, and editorial board members) are treated fairly and equitably.
