Peer Review Process

Probabilitas: Journal of Statistics and Mathematics employs a closed double-blind peer review process to ensure the integrity and quality of the research published within the journal. In this process, both the identities of the authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the review. This approach aims to eliminate bias and maintain an impartial evaluation of submitted manuscripts.

Upon submission, each manuscript is initially assessed by the editorial team for compliance with the journal's guidelines and relevance to the scope. Manuscripts that meet these criteria are then sent to at least two expert reviewers who are knowledgeable in the relevant field. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and previous contributions to the discipline, ensuring a rigorous and informed assessment.

Reviewers are tasked with evaluating the manuscript on several criteria, including originality, methodology, significance of findings, clarity of presentation, and adherence to ethical standards. They provide constructive feedback, recommendations for improvements, and an overall assessment of the manuscript. The anonymity of both parties allows for honest and open critiques, encouraging reviewers to express their opinions freely without fear of repercussion.

After the review process is completed, the editorial team carefully considers the reviewers' comments and recommendations. The authors are then provided with the feedback, along with the editorial decision regarding the acceptance, revision, or rejection of their manuscript. Authors are encouraged to address the reviewers’ comments thoroughly in their revisions to enhance the quality of their work.
