Peer Review Process

The peer review process for Earth Imaging and Geophysical Analysis is designed to ensure the publication of high-quality research. All submissions undergo a rigorous closed double-blind review, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other.

The process includes the following steps:

  1. Initial Screening: Submissions are first reviewed by the editorial team to ensure they meet the journal's focus, scope, and formatting guidelines. Manuscripts that do not comply with these criteria may be returned to the authors without further review.
  2. Reviewer Assignment: Suitable reviewers with expertise in the manuscript's subject area are selected by the editorial team. Typically, two independent reviewers are assigned to each manuscript.
  3. Evaluation by Reviewers: Reviewers assess the manuscript based on its originality, scientific rigor, methodology, relevance, clarity, and contribution to the field. Reviewers provide detailed comments and recommendations for acceptance, revision, or rejection.
  4. Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers’ feedback, the editor will make one of the following decisions:
    • Accept
    • Minor revision
    • Major revision
    • Reject
Authors are notified of the decision along with reviewers' comments to help improve their manuscript.
  5. Revision and Resubmission: If revisions are required, authors must address reviewers' comments and resubmit their revised manuscript within the specified time frame. Revised manuscripts may undergo further review, depending on the extent of changes.
  6. Final Decision: The editor reviews the final version of the manuscript and makes the ultimate decision on its acceptance for publication.
