Peer Review Process

The JurisPrism: Innovations in Law Science Journal applies a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, accuracy, and originality of each submitted manuscript. In this system, both the authors and the reviewers remain anonymous to maintain objectivity throughout the evaluation process.

1. Initial Screening:

The editorial team first evaluates each submitted manuscript to assess its relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, as well as compliance with the journal’s author guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements or contain plagiarism (checked using plagiarism detection software) will be rejected at this stage.

2. Assignment to Reviewers:

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two reviewers who are experts in the relevant field of law or interdisciplinary legal studies. The reviewers are selected based on their expertise, publication record, and familiarity with the subject matter.

3. Review Process:

Reviewers are given 2–4 weeks to complete their review and provide constructive comments regarding the manuscript’s originality, methodology, clarity, theoretical contribution, and alignment with legal scholarship standards. The reviewers are expected to make one of the following recommendations:

  • Accept without revision

  • Accept with minor revision

  • Revise and resubmit (major revision)

  • Reject

4. Revision and Resubmission:

If revisions are required, authors are given two weeks to address the reviewers’ comments and submit a revised manuscript along with a detailed response letter explaining the changes made. The revised manuscript may be re-evaluated by the same reviewers or by the editorial board, depending on the extent of the revision.

5. Editorial Decision:

The final decision to accept or reject a manuscript is made by the Editor-in-Chief, based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the quality of revisions submitted by the authors. Decisions are communicated to authors via email through the journal’s online submission system.

6. Publication:

Once accepted, the manuscript undergoes copyediting, proofreading, and layout editing before publication. The final version is published in the next available issue of the journal, both in online and print formats.

7. Ethical Considerations:

The journal adheres to the ethical standards outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Any suspected case of research misconduct, plagiarism, or unethical publication practice will be investigated in accordance with COPE guidelines.
